Ecorobotix, a Swiss company developing sustainable crop treatment solutions, has raised $52 million in a funding round led by AQTON Private Equity GmbH and Cibus Capital LLP, with additional investments from Yara Growth Ventures and others.
ARA, the company's AI-powered plant-by-plant recognition and ultra-high precision smart spraying system, uses AI to recognize individual plants and classify them in real-time before spraying the weeds without affecting surrounding crops or soil.
The funding will help Ecorobotix expand geographically and accelerate new product development.
ChrysaLabs, a Canadian agri-tech company, raised $15 million CAD ($11 million) in Series A funding from Leaps by Bayer (Juergen Eckhardt, EVP), TELUS Ventures (Mario Mele, Vice President), and BDC Capital (Joseph Regan, Managing Partner), among others.
ChrysaLabs' solution uses a patented spectroscopy technology that extracts real-time data, allowing field managers to take the best actions minutes after sampling. They use AI and machine learning to provide farmers with fast and accurate soil data, enabling more precise actions, higher yields, and optimized costs.
The company plans to use the funding to expand into the carbon verification market and onto more farmers' fields.
Zero Systems, a company using AI and machine learning to automate high-value processes for knowledge workers, raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Streamlined Ventures, with participation from 468 Capital, AltaIR Capital, PBJ Capital, and others.
The funding will be used to continue building out the platform, which currently focuses on automating tasks for professional services such as law firms, financial services, and consulting professionals.
Orby AI has emerged from stealth and raised $4.5 million in seed funding led by Pear VC (Arash Afrakhteh, Partner) and New Enterprise Associates Inc. (Scott Sandell, Managing General Partner), with additional investment from Wing VC.
Orby AI aims to democratize AI and provide an "auto-complete" experience for everyday business users. Orby AI has partnered with some of the largest tech enterprises during its beta-stage development.
The funding will be used to develop its AI platform, which automates repetitive human processes using Generative AI, grow the team, and further R&D.
